Como Les Va A Todos
Como Les Va A Todos!!thank you all you all for your love and support and for your kind words for these last few weeks of my mission! but i dont really see it as the end of my mission. i more see it of a start to my mission. we this week i dont have much time, but i do want to send some pictures. this week i went to merida to interview some investigators for baptism. she was such a great and amazing women! that was thursday, and also for some of you who know, and it is what i figured out last year too, but apparently us americans, always think that mexicans celebrate a ton for the 5 de Mayo, which is what we think is their independence day, but their independence day is actually the 15 of september and they have parties to celebrate. but thursday for the 15 of sep. our stake had a big traditional stake activity called noche mexicana or mexican night. so we went to merida and had a lot of our investigators there, but every ward practiced and dressed up for a traditional dance of a specific state in mexico. we got to see a bunch of different types of dances and after we ate a lot of pazole and Horchata! it turned out great! i also got to meet up with the family Navarro, the branch president from my first area in tekax. turns out they moved to merida. but i saw Haranzu, Anna, and Rebecca (the little girl i took a pic with with my blue hair wig like 2 years ago!) its was super great to see everyone!we are also prepping some baptisms this week, so we will se how it goes! well i love you all and hope you have a great week!Elder wasden

Transfers!!
Transfers are here!!so this week has been such a busy and suprising week!this week, we had a little goodbye party for Elder Calmes, who goes home today! we made a little scavenger hunt for him and everything! it was super fun, president Ruiz even came.so sunday, my companion and I were super surprised when we were called into the primary class, and all the primary kids had made us letters and wrote personal notes to each of us! and the things the children said to me, just touched my heart soo deeply, i honestly love each and everyone of them!! plus i got some awesome pictures that were drawn by them of me and them. its something that we will never forget. after church, we took pictures with some members because they knew that it was time for transfers. so i honestly thought that i was going to stay and that i was going to finish my mission in Maria Luisa as a district leader of my small district. i was surprised as we got that transfers call telling me that for my last transfer, that the lord needed me in another area! so this new area in which i am in is called Progreso, it is like the dream area of all missionaries. at the beginning ive always wanted to come here, but after the love i developed for maria luisa, i didnt want to leave, but i guess the lord had something else more he needed me to do, and something more i needed to learn. so i am now in progresso as a district leader of a much larger district, and i already just love everyone in zone! the thing is about progreso is that its the place where all the ships come in and there are beaches, its super beautiful!! i cant wait to go running every morning!! im also more excited to meet all the members sunday!! i do love changes because it makes me adapt to new stuff! my new companion is called Elder Flores, he is from Torreon Mexico. he is super funny and we get along well! im super excited to be working with him! for these last 6 weeks of my mission, i promised the lord that i would give it all i got! i love this work soo much and i dont want to leave it behind! i came here to finish what i started and to learn what the lord wants to teach me!! i dont have that much to say about the area now, but we will see how this first week goes!!i love you all and have a fantastic week!!Elder wasden

Ummm Google Translator?
hola familia!!
que tengan una buena semana!

READ YOUR SCRIPTURES EVERYDAY EVERYONE!
OH SNAP!! What a week! i cannot tell you any more of how much i love this ward! this is going to be my last area!! it is super crazy! i soo hope they just dont change me out my last transfer! lol. but i absolutely love working here!So this week we found a dead cat right in the front of our house! there are a lot of weird things that happen at our house! we have a room out back that we dont have keys to and animals live in there, like a big family of cats and they brought a dead animal in there so now everywhere smells like death! haha.oh yeah you wont believe who came to merida this week! well remember Adan, the RM and Karina from Cuzama? their parents of adan live in my ward and Karina and the kids came to visit! so i got to see them all, karina, Ingrid, Melissa, and Lupita! it was great to see them! i love them soo much and we talked a lot about cuzama and i pretty much bore my testimony with them of many things and encouraged and challenged them to read their book of mormon again! becasue when she told me all the things that were happening in cuzama with everything, the spirit told me that they werent reading their book of mormon! i aksed them and it was true they stopped reading, and i rechallenged them again to never stop reading! they realized it was true what i said! i have come to know that many people become less active and get further away from God when we stop doing the small things like reading our scriptures, and saying our prayers! READ YOUR SCRIPTURES EVERYDAY EVERYONE!! i know you cant go wrong with it! we can ask god for many things and we can talk to him through prayer, but how does he talk to us? i know that he answers us in many ways, and the scriptures are the main way that God can talk to us with the help of the spirit! but ask yourself, when was the last time i read the scriptures? if its been a while read a little bit right now. read everyday, even if its just a little verse! i know our heavenly father loves us and wants to guide us in this tough world!so this week, something funny happened, we were with Landi and her 3 year old daughter! and i talked to the little girl for a while as she was playing and she shows me her coloring book of a cat, and it looked like her white cat "Coco", so she wanted to draw him in, and she started to draw the picture of the cat using the color brown. and i told her, that her cat "Coco" wasnt a brown cat, and she stops and looks at her picture and then looks at her cat Coco and goes up to it with her brown marker and starts coloring her cat brown so it would match her picture!! hahaha. it was super hilarious! i just love children soo much!! they make me soo happy! :Dthis sunday at church i noticed a new family of 6 and so i went back there to get to know them, turns out, that that there was a young couple that were members all the way from Finland. the husband was an RM and the wife, a 2 month recent convert! but they were visiting their cousins, a non member family here in merida who live in our area! its was a mom and her 2 daughters, when the meeting started, i went back to my seat. before the talks started, the husband (RM) came to me and asked me if i could translate for her wife who only spoke english! the RM knew english too, but said i would probably do better than him, because his root language is spanish. so happily, i accepted. and went over to sit with them, behind them and started to translate! but, a minute into it, i just totally failed. i couldnt hear well as i spoke and i had a ton of troubles trying to remember the english words. i began to make large pauses not knowing what to say, and she just looked at me and waited. and i just looked at them, with a smile and with an embarrasing laugh and said, "I am sooo super sorry!" because i was soo awful at it! lol. then i whispered to the wife and asked her if she had ever heard of the Gift of Tongues... and she said yes and so i told her to pray a lot for it! and they both just laughed! hahaha, they are great people! their family eventually decided to stay for the classes, in which i taught. i taught about the atonement, and seemed like they liked it. in the middle of the 3rd hour of church i was thinking about them of a way of how we could contact this family and find a way to go to their house to go teach them. at the end of church, all i thought about was the sports activity we have fridays. so after asking them about visiting in their house, the mom and the older sister said that they worked and didnt seem that interested, but Leilani the younger 20 y/o asked about the sports activity and said that she wants to go, because she like sport and she heard about the anouncement in the sacrament meeting! so i knew that the lord was preparing this family and its all going to start with her, i just sure hope she makes it! its going to be ana azming week!in these past few weeks here, i have been able to see the miracles that are happening in this area by our effort! it is super awesome and i just love keeping ourselves busy, even though the members keep reminding me that i dont have much time left jokingly! i feel like these people are my family, well they are!The Lord is guiding his work!! i know this is a super sketchy ending but i dont know how to end such an awesome email that i wrote such as this one! so im just going to end it like this...............!! Amen :PWell i love ya fam and ill be sure to send some pics!Elder Wasden
