Big and amazing week!

boy was this week such a big and amazing week! firstly this week, we are getting to know the area more and more everyday because we are opening up a new area again! but this week was really special, because friday we took a private bus with all the missionaries in the zone of campeche and escarcega, and we went to merida to this one stake center where all the missionaries in the mission were and we got to see and hear Elder David A Bednar speak to us. him and one of the area 70 came too. it was such an amazing spiritual meeting, where we learned many things and all of the questions we had were answered even though we didnt talk about them. at the last hour he did a question and answer moment. boy was it soo amazing to see all the missionaries in one place with our mission parents, or president and his wife, and hear the loving words of an apostle directly sent from our heavenly father. the follwing day, saturday, we prepped many baptisms that were happening that day, and we interviewed a family that is really awesome. i love this family soo much because of their energy and humor because they always make me smile. the moms name is maria, and her kids are esther (16), and her friend cristian (16), cristina (13), flor (11), angelica (7), edwardo (5) and bryan (2). thats right i remembered all the names. later that night we went to the church, and this saturday there we 16 baptisms just in our ward, so it was an awesome successful week. at the end of the day, 2 hermanas bought and sent a pizza to our house of 4 elders, because they knew elder flores just started his fast, so the conclusion to that was pretty funny. but Sunday, you couldnt even imagine the sacrament meeting, because from the 16 baptisms, the WHOLE sacrament meeting was just confirmations, and the last 10 minutes was the sacrament. it was pretty great! well today is monday and we recieved the calls for the transfers, well i am staying here in campeche for quite a while because i am now district leader of the biggest district here in campeche, and we have the best missionaries. so that was cool to hear. i am loving campeche more and more every week and i am loving the mission. i have also grown to love reading the book of mormon and it has helped me every single day. i love this gospel with all my heart. well its about that time so im going to close, but i love you and have an amazing week!

Whats Crackalackin!! im teaching that to many people here, its pretty funny when they greet me in the streets! this week, my companion and i had special transfers, before the actual scheduled transfers, we got a call last Monday and we had to say goodbye to all our pueblo nuevo people, it was sad, but they moved us to Campeche campeche, and here is is a big city right next to the ocean, and it has sooo many steep hills that just kill you everyday. but i LOVE it here. actually its kind of like san francisco but a LOT hotter and theres no english. right now we are living with some other elders for now while we search for a new house. the people here are awesome and im still learning my way around. i love it here in the big city, and we finally have a church! my first time in the mission in an actual church and not a small hut. its a lot different and i had like cultural shock like the first 4 days because ive been in small pueblos for a long time. i dont have much time but ima send some pics. i love you guys and be like jesus. :D

Baily moments

Bax ku Yuchu!!
another week goes by here in campeche Mexico and boy can i say time does fly by really fast here. sorry for not having time to email last week i only had time to email my president but here i am! these weeks have been such big short weeks, but i hope i can fit it all in this little time. last week we had training meetings like all week, so we literally stayed in the city of campeche all week with the other elders in campeche. elder duke and elder tousa, my old companion from the MTC. yeah it was a great week. i also went on exchanges with elder tousa. since we were in campeche, we did a lot of stuff with the other elders, we had an English class last Friday for the people who wanted to learn English. like last Wednesday i think it was, we had a huge rain storm, where all the streets were like rivers, literally up to our knees and in some parts up to our waists. ill send some pics. they say it rains a ton in the summer in like July, August and ends in September, and will happen all week. so i think i will need new shoes by the end of this rain season. jaja. but its a good thing i love the rain!! other than baptisms its the only time we can swim! jaja.
last Sunday, i met the bishop of campeche and his family in pueblos nuevo and they are such awesome people. and actually right before we came here to this cyber Internet place, we were walking over here and the bishops runs out of his house and calls my name, and my companion and i look back and its bishop, so we said hello to him. he then invited us in to meet his other part of his family and introduces me to his niece who is leaving on her mission today to Brazil. and another cool thing was that she talks English because she was at BYU for 2 years, but it was weird talking in English! just prepping myself for next week

oh yeah when i went on exchanges with elder tousa, we contacted a loto f people. we also contacted this one guy, was on his roof, so we literally had a lesson on a roof. and that was pretty cool.
another experiences that happened this week are pretty funny and interesting actually, and its how i contacted my last 2 people. the first one was on a bus to hopelchen, and my comp and i we sitting in the front seats of the bus, and we were sitting there and all of a sudden the song 'Im a Barbie Girl' came on his radio, and I'm not going to lie, it was on my ipod before the mission, but i starting mouth syncing the word to my comp and acting like i was barbie, and the bus driver glanced at us through the mirror and started laughing, and i saw him and thought oh geez, but it was pretty funny, you just had to be there, it was one of the 'Baily moments'. but he asked me if i knew what it was saying and of course i said yes and that's where the conversation began! another one was we were in the bus stop waiting for the bus, and there were these 2 drunk guys that had this big plastic bottle of alcohol. and so i started talking to them, and got to the topic on drinking, and i talked to them of the reasons why they drink and of course the word of wisdom. we always hand them pamphlets, but they weren't really responsive, so i thought the best idea was to eliminate the problem so i tried to get them to get rid of the alcohol themselves when i took the bottle and told them that the bottle was expired and had a bunch of nasty stuff in it, but that dint work when he took another drink. so after that i asked them if that was the bus in the distance, and they both looked the other way and i took the bottle that was sitting down next to me and i chucked it really fast across my companions face out the window of the bus stop, then when they looked back, i focused the conversation in there families and tried to get to know them more whenever they asked where the bottle was, one of them thought it was in the backpack of his friend, but my comp told him that he already drank it all and they forgot all about it. but over all i got there names and address. jaja.
to end we also have this girl in our branch named sandra and this week here baby was sick and had a really high temperature, and after we taught a lesson to her dad she asked us for a blessing, but this Sunday she bore her testimony about this experience, and she said her baby has been really sick and she couldn't sleep and she was scared and she prayed for direction in her life and for comfort, and after she did that she looked out side and saw us missionaries teaching her dad right outside her house, she said it was a miracle and a blessing to have an answer in her prayers just like that. after the blessing her baby got better and she felt the love and comfort from our father in heaven. i love moments like that, its amazing how the lord will put us wherever we need to be in the exact time we need to be. amo mi padre celestial con todo mi corazon, y estoy muy agradecido ser miembro y un misionero de la iglesia de jesucrist de los santos de los ultimas dias. se que nuestro padre celestial nos ama, cada uno de nosotros y el quiere lo mejor para nosotros, y el nos guiara solo si lo buscamos! amo este evangelio con todo mi corazon, y se que aqui es donde necesito estar. l
