Who needs a Taxi when you can ride in an ambulance

Hola!! this week has been a great week. we have these investigators named maria y flor. we have been teaching them for a while now. flor is a little girl who has 9 years old and she is one adorably sassy girl. but we honestly love those two. the first time we met them was about 4 weeks ago on the street, and flor was really shy and didn't want to shake our hands when we first met them both, and now i can say we are pretty much besties. jaja. but this week we invited them to a baptism with us in oxcutzcab, and they came, we picked them up and took amoto taxi or motorcycle taxi to the church where we all took a convi to go. when we got to the church in oxcutzcab we gave them a tour of the church and later watch the baptism. they loved it and thought it was beautiful, and we also invited them to church again after many times the past few weeks but they finally came with us, and when they came they were immediately greeted by members. maria and flor made many friends and totally felt welcomed. i couldn't have been more happier to see that. they were involved in the classes, the members told me and also asking a lot of questions. and we are going to teach them again this week. i love that family. as a missionary, church is just not the same, we are always thinking about our investigators and how they are doing. its awesome at the same time. we have been working with the members a lot on family history. also for valentines, there was a parade out side our apartment, it was pretty fun and funny to watch. plus we got free candy. this week we went to Xaya again, this pueblo in the middle of nowhere. but its really easy to get there but its hard to come back. so we took a convi to xaya, did our stuff there, met with a family there who are members but nobody there can afford to come to tekax, neither that family to come to church every week, so we have a sacrament meeting and a little class in the house of the members. we are going to build xaya and introduce them to the  gospel. It is the first time missionary's have ever stepped foot in that pueblo. so we are very thankful to be the ones that start it, just from this little hut as a church. but we believe we can do it. eventually when it was time to go back to our other pueblo, the convi that said he would be there at a certain time, never showed, so we were stuck in xaya. so we hitched a ride in this car with 3 other old Mayans that spoke nothing but Maya and a little English. and tried to have a convo in that tightly packed car with 5 men. jaja. they dropped us off in a pueblo called tixmueak. and we got stuck there but we were about 20 kilometers away from tekax, so after trying to wave down the 3 cars that passed by and having none of them stop, we decided to start walking after many coin flips to try to find an excuse to not walk but the coins never lie so we started walking, we predicted we would hopefully be back in tekax in about 2 or 3 hours after walking for a long time we got to know each other a lot better. jaja. eventually after a long time, we were saved by this only car that passed by. and this car that picked us up happened to be an ambulance. so we rode in an ambulance back to tekax! it was a pretty interesting week. but yes that was my week! by the way i want to let you know that i did get all the letters like last week, and thank you everyone. it was really fun to read them! also mom, can you please give grandpa my email. gracias! well hope you have a great week because i know i am loving it more each week. pues ima close cuz i need to go, so peace out for this week.
Lots of love
Elder Wasden
