Back in the City!

bix a beel ulákoh!! (how are you family!! in maya) WOW!! can i just say, it is soo crazily awesome to be back in the city!! we are in an amazing area here in Maria Luisa! here, the members are amazing! we are trying to work with each family a lot with our investigators. i just love our bishop, he is really nice. we already have a baptism planned for this saturday of a nine year old of a partial member family. we are super excited! so hear this... my first week here in the area, i get sick. makes no sense, huh. for the past 6 months i have been in the small villages where its more sketchy the food, and when i get to the big safe city, i get sick. i got a stomach infection. so i was super sick with fever for like 2 days and in the bathroom a ton, haha. we went to the hospital, they gave me my drugs and i took the for like a week and now im better witht he help of a priesthood blessing from my companion! so get this, my first sunday here, i gave a talk in sacrament meeting about the holy ghost! i gave the talk like a boss even though i was still healing from the sickness. but i love giving talks becasue i can just share with everyone what i feel about the gospel! i probably shouldnt say that, because bishop danz will make me talk in sacrament meeting every sundaywhen i get back! haha. thats soo crazy how the boundries have changed there, and ill be coming home to a different bishop! its all good, becasue bishop warren and danz are both amazing men!
so let me tell you a little bit about our house! so the missionaries before me, recently moved into this house becasue they had to move out of another house. so the house that we are in right now, is pretty sketchy! its made for short people, the door frames are literally up to my neck! so i have to duck in almost everydoor. the worst part it that i have already hit my head like 3 times this last week getting up at night to go to the bathroom! its a pretty sketchy house, we found a ratin our house last night and you know us men, being all tough, we had to kill it. so calmly, like brave men, we approached it to try to kill it! okay i lied, we both screamed like girls trying to kill it! haha. but mission was accomplished. we then repented after for breaking the 6th commandment, thou shall not kill. but im pretty sure our heavenly father understood our circumstance in this situation! :P
president garcia is already finishing his mission this week, and its super sad to see him leave! but i have heard president ruiz is amazing too! we had a big conference with all us missionaries and president for the last time, and we got to say goodbye to him for the last time! it was an amazing conference!
so today in the morning, i was pulling weeds out side of our house, becasue it was our p-day. and as i was pulling these weeds, i felt happy and powerful, because each of these weeks was supér easy to take out because the roots werent very deep. and i came across one week different than the others, and i put my hand on it and started to pull it, i noticed that it wasnt coming out as easy as the other weeds. so i use even more strength using my massive huge muscles that i have, but this one weed was not coming up. i was determined that it would never come out becasue the roots were soo strong and deep. and it reminded me of us as sons and daughter of our heavenly father. always, satan is trying to pull us out of the soil (the gospel of jesus christ) so that we separate and dry up and die, just like a week, but we can die spiritually. as satan is harvesting all the weeds (us) that are week, he easily separates the sons and daughter of god who dont have a firm foundation (or strong root) in the gospel of jesus christ! i know that if we truly build our foundation and really strengthen our roots DEEP in the light and gospel of jesus christ. satan will not have power to pull us out.  i know that this gospel is true and can really protect us from the dangers of this dangerous world, and i know that we can be truly happy by following the teachings of jesus christ. i challenge each and everyone one of you to examine your roots! are your roots strong and deep enough to resits the attacks and winds from satan. do what every you can to keep on growing spiritually, because spirituality never stays at the same level, it is either growing or getting weaker by the minute! so pick up your scriptures, say your prays. do what you can to keep gowing you roots!
i love you guys and i know my savior lives! hope you have an amazing week! i love ya and ill try to send some pics this week!
