BOY what a week we had!! it was awesome, i dont know if you heard about the tropical storm that was on the news? it hit us just a little bit, it was going to hit us but it shifted tuesday night and went more sound!! we got lucky! but i did love the rain! now it is super hot here right now!
but this week we met a less active family named the Segura Peña family, that it has been over a year since they have been to church, my comp and I decided to have a FHE with them! boy did we fall in love with this family! its a couple its a couple with 2 little daughters! the dad is soo hilarious! i love him. we all put cookies on our foreheads and tried to use our face muscles to move it to our mouths! so this week we are also planning an activity, me and elder chi came up with it, so its kind of based of meet the mormons, every family in the ward will do a video to show what their family is like just a bunch of fun videos of their fam and we will have a giant movie night in the church watching all these videos! we have seen some and they are excellent. we are focusing on the importances of families in the plan of God! its going to go great!!
So this week was an excellent week in our area because we had 2 more baptisms! Martin and Geni!! it was excellent! i have been teaching them for many weeks and it was great to see them take this step in there lifes. we could see at the beginning how hard satan was working to prevent this covenant with God but like alwasy God won again! im super happy for them. we had the baptism sunday morning before church services and confirmed them after. sorry we dont have photos of the baptism because we started late and had to finish before the church services. it was great though, i love them soo much!
some other sad news, on of the sisters in our ward died last night, sister magdalena. she was an amazing sister and everyone loved her soo much, she had liver failure and passed away in the hospital. please pray for each and everyone of the family members of the Careño family! becasue she was still young, like in her 50´s, and had a big impact on the ward, soo please keep them in your prayers! it makes me soo greatful to know of the perfect plan our father in heaven has for us, and how each and everyone of us has the oppotunity to see our loved ones once again if we stay true to the faith and push ourselves to endure to the end! i love my heavenly father and i know that he is always with us during our trials. never lose hope because our savior is always right there behind us to lift us back up again!
